Please Pray!

Beloved Family,
Last year I decided to go on trip to Croatia with Proclaim! International. That trip was very difficult for us on many levels. While I was gone Alisha was visiting her mom who was dying of cancer. It was not the last time we saw her but it was hard fo me to be so far away durring that visit. On my trip I was reading about about death and heaven. It was a great book and the timing could not have been more perfect because of everything going on with Alisha's mom. I also had a lot of time to reflect on what was going to be next once I got back. I realized that a year had passed since my Poland trip but most of the changes I wanted to make after that trip didn't quite develop like I thought. I knew once I came back from this trip things needed to be different. Once I came back, I enrolled in school full time at Liberty University Online in the Psychology/Life Coaching Bachelors Program. Alisha got a job at a law firm and I quit my full time job of four years to pursue school and sound full time. About this same time one of our cars was totaled and we were now down to one car. This made things a lot more difficult for us but we have managed. In December Alisha's mom passed away and that was very hard. Alisha went back to help her brother take care of everything and say her good byes. That has been hard for all of us and the boys are always curious about heaven and what happened to their grandma. Now it has been six or seven months since I have been in school and I am so ready to be done for the semester. Work however seems to have left us with many question marks. It seems like as soon as I quit my day job that all my freelance work dried up. I have been doing some recording but it has been scarce at best. Alisha and I have really been asking some tough questions about what is our next move.
A few months ago I was asked to go to Kazakhstan to help Proclaim! with another tour. At the time things were really crazy and I really wasn't sure things were going to work out this time around. A few weeks ago Alisha and the boys were in a wreck that totalled our only car. In a week Alisha is scheduled to start a new job. At the end of this month the boys will be done with school and so will I. With everything going on I was sure that God was just letting me sit this one out. Just out of curiosity I contacted JB at Proclaim! and found out that they are still looking for someone to do sound for the tour. Absolutely no one they have asked is available to go on this tour. I was felt heavy burdened when I heard the news. I was certain that God was going to send somebody. I talked with another close friend and after he shared some verses of scripture and some very encouraging words, he asked me to reconsider this trip. Today Alisha and I talked it over and we are committing to pray fervently about this endeavor. Here are some details:
The trip is from May 13-May 30. That means I would need to be on a plane in about ten days or less. Also I haven't raised any money. Whatever happens I trust that God is leading us and if He wants to send us he will provide the money.
So please be praying that God will be very clear about whether or not this is something He wants me to go do.

Also Alisha and I have been praying that God will give us some direction for after this semester. I will be talking to a Church tomorrow about a potential job. I don't want to give to much information about this but if I get this job this will also be a very big game changer.

This feels like a season of very big change for us. We are hoping that God will give us clarity as we move forward. Please be praying with us as we are pursuing God's will for our family.
Thank you so much,
David, Alisha, Isaac, and Liam Cook

P.S.
We would love to hear from you guys so feel free to send a message with your words of wisdom or encouragement.
